Recommended Supplies
SKETCHBOOK: A sketchbook is an artist's most useful tool. It is portable and keeps your ideas close by for easy access. It helps you learn and grow by seeing where you've been. It stores your mistakes and successes so you can reference them and learn from them. The best sketchbook for class would be a hardbound sketchbook. These have a stiff protective cover and feel like a real hardcover book. The pages are empty and do NOT tear out easily.
Pencil: A pencil is one of an artist's oldest tools. They are versatile and can be used for planning, or as part of the finished product. Wooden or mechanical is fine, both are better.
Attitude: A good attitude will get you where you want to be. You can make up for lack of experience, skill and knowledge if you approach every task thinking, "I can do this and I will do this." There will be errors and setbacks, but that is how we know we are getting better.
